Unlike many other driving schools that place multiple trainees in a single vehicle, limiting your time in the driver’s seat, we ensure that all your lessons are conducted on a one-to-one basis. This gives you the best opportunity to pass your Part Three test. You’ll benefit from continuous support, both during your training and in your first couple of years as an instructor.
Approved Driving Instructor Training Programme
This is a standard training plan for becoming a driving instructor with us, though we tailor it to suit your individual needs.
Part Two (Driving):
- The number of hours for driver training is personalized based on your needs.
Part Three (Instructing):
- 40 hours of instructor training
- Instructor Training Workbook
After completing the above training, you can choose to work for Lesson Plus Driving School on a trainee licence for 6 months to gain hands-on experience with pupils. The trainee licence costs £140, payable to DVSA. Additionally, you must complete 20 more hours of instructor training during the first three months of the licence. During this time, you’ll be teaching and earning a reward.
Our training is flexible, so you can adjust it to fit around your existing work or family commitments.
The ADI training course typically takes 2 to 4 months to finish, depending on how much time you can dedicate to training each week. Afterward, you’ll have the option to gain paid experience with your trainee licence before taking the final exam.
